Kunming Lake - this huge lake northwest of Beijing next to the Summer Palace is there for a reason: it's MAN-MADE!!! Think of a lot of digging in ancient times. This lake is 30 km2 large! That's HUGE! All it takes is a lot of people to undertake a project like this and I guess there were a lot of Chinese even back then... |
