We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the tombs - they weren't that interesting, anyway. Plus all the original coffins were completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution (which actually caused a lot of other irreparable damage to many Chinese cultural relics thanks to Mao's communist ideology), so only reproductions were showcased in the tombs. |
