Emperor Qinshi Huangdi's other big project besides the Great Wall was the
construction of a Terracotta army guarding his tomb. Altogether about 7000 figures
were made by a huge number of people. I guess, the people laboring over this weren't too happy with their pay (zero yuan), because
after the emperor's death many of these warriors were smashed to pieces during a
revolt. Archeologists now have the unenviable task of piecing together this
giant puzzle. About 700 of the figures are fully restored, some of it is
partially restored and most of it is still in pieces.
